The Fairview area offers a plethora of exciting cultural diversions and entertainment. The Plano Symphony, Dallas Opera, art museums such as the Kimball and those in Fort Worth and Dallas, and the fun-filled Plano Balloon Festival are all winners. Residents can check out a Dallas Cowboys football game, Mavericks basketball game or Stars hockey game. Allen Premium Outlets located on the corner of Stacy Road and Central Expressway offers shoppers plenty of retail shops such as Burberry and Polo Ralph Lauren with top of the line merchandise at discounted prices. Or, if you'd prefer a shopping trip to nearby Collin Creek Mall, Watters Creek, Villages of Fairview, Villages of Allen, or to the Stonebriar Shopping Complex to sip Starbucks with your friends, Fairview features an array of choices.

HEARD Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary is a phenomenal attraction full of pristine meadows located only one mile east of Highway 5. A favorite hangout spot for Dallas' city folk is McKinney's Historic Downtown neighborhood with its small-town ambience, antique shops and bed-and-breakfasts. The Heritage Ranch Golf and Country Club active adult community rests on a beautiful tract of land and features a gorgeous 24,000 square-foot facility including meeting rooms, an indoor pool and a billiards room.


Residential development in Fairview has flourished in a unique environment of easy transportation access and thriving community services. Baylor/Richardson Medical Center, the Centennial Medical Pavilion in Frisco, Plano Presbyterian Hospital and the Medical Center of Plano, and the Columbia Children's Hospital at Medical City of Dallas are excellent nearby medical facilities. Route 75, the George Bush Turnpike, the Dallas North Toll Road and other highways provide easy access in and out of Fairview. Additionally, Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport is also nearby. The DART light rail now runs to Plano from Dallas and connects with the entire Metroplex, with future plans to extend northward.
